First Responders Support: Why Choose Us?

For first responders, witnessing other people’s trauma is part of the job. But it can take a toll on your mental health. At Poplar Springs Hospital, we offer specialized programs to help first responders recover from mental health and substance use issues.

Our first responder support services include inpatient and outpatient programs. You attend individual and group therapy sessions alongside your peers so you feel supported throughout your journey.

Whether you’re dealing with PTSD, depression, a substance use disorder or another mental health concern, we can help. Our compassionate staff understands the unique needs of first responders. We customize treatment to your needs.

At Poplar Springs Hospital, you’ll find:

  • Coordinated care: Our staff, including therapists, a psychiatrist, a nurse and a case manager, tailors your care to help you reach your goals.
  • Evidence-based treatment: We use therapies that are rooted in current research. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which teach you healthy coping skills.
  • Group and individual support: Our inpatient and outpatient military programs include first responder support groups and individual therapy sessions.
  • Exercise facilities: We have a gym, pool, weight room and basketball courts so you can stay fit and healthy.
