Adult PHP Treatment at Poplar Springs Hospital: Why Choose Us?

The adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Poplar Springs Hospital helps adults ages 18+ recover from mental health issues, such as severe depression and anxiety, without a hospital stay. The program provides structured, intensive mental health treatment that is more comprehensive than weekly therapy but less intensive than inpatient care.

Our PHP program meets Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may attend in person or virtually. We provide breakfast and lunch if you come in person. The program typically lasts for four weeks.

We have been a trusted resource for mental health care for over 50 years. Our compassionate staff is trained to take a trauma-informed approach, creating an environment of empathy and healing.

At Poplar Springs Hospital, you’ll find:

  • Compassionate, skilled providers: You work with therapists, a psychiatrist, a registered nurse, a social worker and a peer support specialist. They tailor treatment to your needs so you can reach your recovery goals.
  • Evidence-based treatment: Our therapies are rooted in scientific research and our clinical knowledge. We use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which help you build healthy coping skills.
  • Structured environment: Your day includes individual and group therapy sessions. Each group focuses on a different topic important to your recovery, such as healthy communication skills and setting boundaries.
  • Dual-diagnosis track: People with substance use issues often experience mental health conditions as well. You can receive treatment for both concerns with our dual-diagnosis track.
  • Virtual sessions: You may attend our PHP mental health program in person or virtually.
