Adult IOP Treatment at Poplar Springs Hospital: Why Choose Us?

The adult intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Poplar Springs Hospital is a day program that helps adults ages 18+ recover from mental health disorders, such as severe anxiety and depression. If you’re seeking more support than weekly therapy provides, IOP may be the level of care you need.

Our IOP treatment program meets three days a week from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. For your convenience, you choose the days that work best for you. You can attend IOP in person or virtually. You receive breakfast and lunch if you attend in person. The program usually lasts for four weeks.

We have helped members of the community recover from mental health disorders for over 50 years. Our staff is trained to take a trauma-informed approach to provide you with an empathetic, healing environment.

At Poplar Springs Hospital, you’ll find:

  • Personalized care: You work with therapists, a psychiatrist, a registered nurse, a social worker and a peer support specialist who customize treatment to your needs.
  • CBT and DBT treatment: Therapy approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). These research-based approaches teach you healthy coping skills to help you successfully navigate your day.
  • Structured environment: You attend individual and group therapy sessions each day. Group topics may include mindfulness methods and identifying triggers.
  • Dual-diagnosis track: If you are experiencing both mental health and substance use disorders, you can find the care you need at our IOP program.
  • Virtual IOP: You can attend our IOP treatment program in person or virtually.
