Today’s adolescents face extraordinary pressures. When teens become overwhelmed with stressors at school, at home and in the community, Poplar Springs Hospital provides structured, short-term inpatient care in an atmosphere of support and respect. Adolescents learn how to deal with their emotional and behavioral issues so they can quickly return home with better coping tools to deal with stress.

Poplar Springs Hospital makes every attempt to help patients transition back to their normal academic schedule. Adolescents will remain enrolled in their home school while they are in our program and may complete homework assignments if brought in by the school or family.

We provide:

  • Case management
  • Group therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Family workshops

Adolescents have daily interaction with a multidisciplinary team, which includes:

  • Board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists
  • Nursing services
  • Social services
