Substance Abuse

The Substance Abuse Treatment Program in our Residential Treatment Center is designed to assist residents who have been diagnosed with co-occurring disorders including although not limited to mood disorders along with substance use disorders. The program will formulate an individualized plan of care which includes offering individuals educational information on the progression of substance abuse/addiction. In addition residents will be provided the opportunity to explore how underlying emotional issues contributes to substance abuse/dependence via involvement in individual, family and group counseling.

The youth will be encouraged to examine how their substance use has affected other areas of their life. We will also offer treatment work related to learning and being able to practice the use of healthy emotional regulation techniques. Additionally residents will be given information on recognizing cues and triggers to use/relapse as well as developing relapse prevention plans. Our residents and their families will receive supplemental information on components of successful recovery plans to utilize upon transition from this level of care.
