Philosophy

We believe successful behavioral health treatment occurs in the least restrictive setting that provides the most effective intensity of services. Our treatment program uses empirically validated cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approaches that are consistent with Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense treatment guidelines.

Our intensive therapeutic programming focuses on treatment and transition. Our treatment modalities include: individual, group and family therapies, activity therapy, nursing education, psychiatric assessment and ongoing evaluation by a Military-trained psychiatrist. In addition to acute stabilization, we offer two specialized extended care treatment programs which focus on chemical dependency and combat-related post traumatic stress disorders (PTSD). The traumatic stress disorder track provides treatment for the emotional and psychological effects of combat theater stress and post-deployment, adjustment-related issues. The chemical dependency treatment track focuses on the recognition and understanding of the bio psycho-social aspects of addiction as well as the development of relapse prevention skills. Service members presenting with chemical dependency and combat-related stress are assigned to a hybrid track to address both disorders. Our facility offers these tracks in both inpatient and partial hospitalization programs to structure treatment to individual service members’ needs. Partial hospitalization may be used as the primary treatment modality or as a transition from inpatient services.
