Hello and welcome to Poplar Springs Hospital. Though I’ve only lived in this region for a few years, I know that Poplar Springs Hospital has a long history of providing for the behavioral health care needs of its community. I also know that it is an outstanding hospital made up of truly dedicated and highly credentialed professionals who provide an excellent clinical product and customer service every day.

Serving the Petersburg and surrounding communities for more than 35 years, Poplar Springs Hospital is one of the largest full-service behavioral health care facilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Since its beginning in 1973, Poplar Springs Hospital has grown into one of Virginia’s only free-standing behavioral health care centers. With a comprehensive continuum of care, treating youth ages 11-17, adults and military service members, the hospital is strategically and demographically positioned for serving those that need our care most.

Having worked extensively in both the clinical and operational health care arenas, I believe I have a unique understanding of what it takes to provide quality patient care in these challenging times. Our facility has continued to evolve, not only in its delivery of specialized behavioral treatment services, but also as a trusted resource to families and health care agencies throughout the Commonwealth.
